Patrick Sansone announced his debut outing as a solo artist with this upcoming Centripetal Force / Sansonica Records full-length, Infinity Mirrors. The first track to be unveiled from the release is “Measures,” a nearly eight-minute long soundscape of synthesizers that builds, ebbs and flows in a delicate and meditative manner. The oscilloscope-style video embedded above assists in that focused meditation, asking the viewer to keep locked in through the duration.
The record has six compositions in total, each exploring their own sonic territory while still connecting with one another. A full album review can cover more of that topic but rest assured, if you enjoy “Measures” you will the enjoy the variety offered through the rest of the record as well.

Des Stauffer shares with us her journey through denial and grief after discovering, around 20 weeks into her pregnancy, that her daughter Ivy’s cerebellum wasn’t developing at the typical rate. She shares how little help and preparation she received from the medical community and how her faith and her village make her day to day life possible.
Now a mom of two (Lily 18, Ivy 8), Stauffer jumped in with us during the snowpocalypse (she lives in Michigan & would be unimpressed by TN’s winter vortex, but is kind enough not to make fun of our week out of school for a few inches) to talk a little about blended families, teenage oversharing, and share so much thoughtful, learned insight from her experience as a mom to Ivy, her wild, funny, neurodivergent, strong-willed, differently-abled, music-loving, extroverted, youngest daughter.

Been a minute since we published an episode, eh? Even longer since we published any episodes regularly?! I’d love to say that there’s a compelling to story behind that but the truth is, I work in tech for my day job and back in January of 2023 there were massive layoffs where I worked. I personally was not downsized but the team I worked with shrunk by a large amount. The work to be done did not shrink but the people available to do it did. Suffice to say, I did not have any time to curate, compile, edit and broadcast new episodes of this show. I certainly *wanted* to but there’s only so many hours in the day and it just got away from me.
Enough with the lack of compelling explanation! What is this, a blog? We’re back with a load of local music and a backlog that we can hopefully keep pumping out episodes. Dive in, enjoy, explore more.
