Umbrella Tree Disbands

It was announced yesterday that after 7 years Umbrella Tree would be disbanding forever. Yep, calling it quits. It’s always a bummer when bands you respect decide to hang up their hats but there’s also a knowing feeling that they’ll find themselves in new creative endeavors before too long so there’s probably something to look forward to a bit further down the line.

As a thank you to their fans they’ve posted their entire LP release party from last May in both video and audio formats, for free procurement.

Every Halloween since 2009 has been a more enjoyable experience than the Halloween’s prior because Shaboi’s Curse Walk came into existence. Yes, I am biased in my enjoyment but I don’t think it’s unfair to say that an album featuring spooky songs performed in country western, hip-hop, r&b and straight ahead rock-n-roll styles will be enjoyed by all. Right? Anyway, go listen, it’s a Halloween classic as far as I’m concerned.
