Chuck Beard is the owner of East Side Story, a new bookstore. Beard is also the editor of Number: magazine. He’ll talk about the process of opening an independent business, and why he thinks he’s filling a literary niche in East Nashville.
Megan Kellar, a Nashvillian formerly of Portland, is a flight attendant at Delta. She’ll talk about flight cabin life and how she found the profession.
Adrian Switzer is a philosophy professor at Western Kentucky University. He’ll discuss a few Cezanne paintings through the lens of Continental philosophy. In particular, he will discuss how sensation and perception figure into understanding art.
