Badass new video from Magnolia Sons depicting the liberation of women through the total beatdown of The Man. It’s an excellent homage to classic 60′s and 70′s action films, down to the desaturation and cheesy projection backgrounds.Â
The Breathe In, Breathe Out “Honey Guzzlerâ€
My dabblings into the works of The Breathe In, Breathe Ou and their EP, Lungs, has taught me that “Honey Guzzler†is, for me, their finest jam. It’s dark, builds in tension and the vocals are as offputting as they are alluring. Honestly, it’s that somewhat manic style that kept me listening – I’d love to hear more in this style.
BUMMRcity – Endless Smokes
It’s interesting to hear a full fledged release from BUMMRcity. On one hand, it a bit more drug addled and lo-fi  than the prior “Freakout†track on their Spaghetti Split. On the other hand, its dumb to judge a band on the merits of a single song. Additively, there are some solid covers on this EP, particularly the Ted Lucas finale song. I continue to be curious to hear more from this outfit.
JEFF the Brotherhood “Melting Placeâ€
Pretty much the perfect combo of teasing anticipation and enjoyable weirdness. Kind of like JEFF in general.
the Minor Toughs – Summer of `77
Who’s in the mood for some jangly guitar pop with just the right mixture of optimism and melancholy in the vocals? You are, that’s who! The new Minor Toughs EP offers a nice bit of variety in just three short songs – jangly pop, introspective musings and big thick rock. Be sure to wait for “Way of the Knife†to really open it, its a great feeling.
Traveller – Nobody Makes It Out
take Corey Chisel, Jonny Fritz and Robert Ellis and you’ve got Traveller. Their first song is a simple one but showcases their talents well. Looking forward to more.
lylas “Sensual Peopleâ€
Listen to the first track from the forthcoming Warm Harm album. Primary lylas creator Kyle Hamlett says the song came to him in a dream, fully formed. That’s a helluva dream.
Forest of Tygers - “Pay of Pigsâ€
Following up on the announcement that Forest of Tygers has a brand new 7″ available via Acteon Records, here’s a video for their side of the vinyl. Much like the song, the video is brutal. Appropriate I’d say. Go for the suicide, stay for the cameo by drummer Rachel Valosik.

Forest of Tygers / Act of Impalement 7″
The debut vinyl release from Forest of Tygers by way of Acteon Records will be this split 7″ featuring “Pay of Pigs†and will be available July 7th (at least, at press time that was the word.. let’s see if that happens!).Â
The Grips “Suit Upâ€
How about a new, instrumental, soulful track from the Grips designed to play as the soundtrack to your summer BBQ? Yes, I will have some, thank you.
The Dead Deads “Lemonadeâ€
The Dead Deads premiered their video for fan favorite track “Lemonade†today.  Directed by Seth Graves, the video is a ridiculous romp of space alien storytelling, macabre performance  and some serious rock and roll. All good things.
Los Colognes “Backseat Driverâ€
The new album from Los Colognes, Dos, will be released Sept 4th, 2015. That’s a long ways away but you can put “Backseat Driver†on heavy rotation until then.
