A New York transplant due to Covid, Tyler Gilstrap talks with Joy and Sarah about the struggle to settle in a new city and the importance of self-care especially while wrangling a 4 yr. old. Tune in as we discuss her love for dance, dirty-facting, and palindromes.

About Our Guest:
Tyler Gilstrap is a mom, long term dance partner to Jon Epcar, and Choreographer currently living in Nashville. She was a founding member of Battleworks Dance Company (2001-2010) NYC. Her credits include choreographer for the ‘Infinite Hotel’, associate choreographer for the Sochi Winter Olympic Games Opening Ceremony and San Remo Italian TV Award shows. Her latest film “forgotten song” is premiering at the Lincoln Center Dance on Camera Festival Feb 12th. She has choreographed music videos for artists Andrew McMahon, Son Lux, Skyes and FireHorse. Tyler has created performances for the Panoramic Music Festival, Big Data, Ballroom Marfa, and The Windmill Factory.

As a dancer, she has been featured in the films ‘Across the Universe’, ‘The Wackness,’ and the Italian TV show ‘Amici.’
