For me, the best Christmas songs manage to blend a bit of melancholy, humor and sweetness. The Quichenight EP manages to fire on all cylinders in that department. “Cookie, Cookie†is sweet and melancholy, while “Gentrifyin’ Santa†is a hilarious funky tale. Overall, the EP is an upbeat undertaking bookended with a little bit of reflection. Excellent work, Quichenight.
