Joey Kneiser – The All-Night Bedroom Revival

wott_kneiser

Glossary just dropped a few nuggets of quality info regarding the happenings inside their camp. First and foremost, their new album Feral Fire will be available Feb 2nd, 2010. Look for it everywhere.

Secondly, frontman Joey Kneiser has announced that he is releasing his solo album The All-Night Bedroom Revival for free to the Internets. That means you can get it right now, for entirely free, just by going here. It’s a bit more laid back than Glossary has been of late but Kneiser’s voice is so undeniably intriguing that you’d be doing yourself a disservice by not grabbing it.

The band has also announced a handful of shows, the closest of which will be in Murfreesboro at the Temptation Club on Dec. 3rd.

Lake Fever Sessions and AMA’s

If we’re being totally honest with each other I will admit to knowing zero legitimate facts about Americana music or the Americana Music Association. That being said, the new five band / five song Lake Fever Session that just launched was a bit of a curveball for me. The music contained within is not exactly what I seek out on a regular basis but there’s a focus on the craft of songwriting that often gets lost in the noise of the colossus known as Nashville that predominates in these songs; an aspect well worth appreciating. Shown above is Holly Golightly and the Brokeoffs performing “Devil Do” with a crazy little drum setup that drew me in.

  1. Elliott Brood – “Without Again”
  2. Joe Pug – “Dodging the Wind”
  3. Holly Golightly and the Brokeoffs – “Devil Do”
  4. Hot Club of Cowntown – “Forget-Me-Nots
  5. Elizabeth Cook – “Heroin Addict Sister”
