Support Nashville Compilation

Support Nashville has launched a new Flood Relief Project that is asking Nashville area bands to submit music for consideration on an upcoming compilation relief. Bands send in their music, have it end up on the album and proceeds go to flood relief. Seems like a win-win-win (the third win being the listener that buys the potentially enjoyable disc).

So, if you’re in a band and have some music you’d like to potentially have included on a flood relief compilation; get over there and submit your application.

Glossary Lake Fever Session

I have a bit of a mixed history with Glossary. I was around in Murfreesboro when the band was just getting their feet wet and could never get my college self into their Southern Americana styles ala Southern By the Grace of Location. I was / am friends with bassist Bingham Barnes but the music never properly clicked until I dove into Better Angels Of Our Nature. Immediately after hearing that I damned myself for the years that I’d stopped paying attention because I thought they just weren’t up my alley. The latest release, Feral Fire, is more evidence of how great the band is and how far they are progressing musically.

That’s a long setup to inform you of the fact that the band has their very own Lake Fever Session but a necessary one to let you know just how good it is. The band has a chemistry that isn’t something you just stumble into; they’ve been together for over a decade and their experience shines through.
