Hands off Cuba – “Defibrilator”

Check out this video for the Hands Off Cuba track “Defibrilator.” Directed by Ben Marcantel the video is, apparently, “a dramatic re-enactment of Carmen Balent’s lost untitled film. No clue what that means but the music, off of From Arrival to Survival, is so good that it doesn’t matter if I understand the background concept to the video or not!

Clouds and Constellations

<a href="http://parisontario.bandcamp.com/album/clouds-and-constellations">Clouds and Constellations by Paris,Ontario</a>

While browsing around the Bandcamp Nashville tags I stumbled across the album Clouds and Constellations by Paris, Ontario. Finding more information about the band has proven to yield few results but I’ve been put under the impression that the band is actually the musical output of Rod Kelly – member of De Novo Dahl and The Love Society. The album features several guest singers throughout (i.e. Tristen on “Actors in the Movies”) and has a nice languid vibe to the majority of it. I suggest streaming the whole thing and then keeping an eye out for the official release at the end of the month.
