The Groove & their new location

the groove is back with a new location not to far from the old spot.
my sunday was filling with excitement waiting for 4 o’clock to roll around. i’ve turned records into my life’s work so for mere mortals it may seem strange to wait for the unveiling of another record store. for me it couldn’t open soon enough. this is my favorite place to buy records. i can dig through records at the groove and almost immediately find that jewel i was looking for. coupled with great people that own and operate the place. it should be everyone’s favorite record store.

Halfway to Honolulu

Please take a moment to check out the Kickstarter Campaign for the independent film Halfway to Honolulu; they are in need of some backing to help them develop all their 35mm film and finish up the post-production process.

You may be asking yourself, “What does a locally shot independent film have to do with the Nashville music scene?” Well, the soundtrack / music direction is being done by Ryan Norris and Ben Marcantel – two substantial contributors to the music scene. Jon Rogers, of Hotpipes, is involved as well and Seth Graves is one of the actors. So, yea, the film community and music community are closely entrenched (rightfully so) and by supporting one you can often support the other.

Long story short – go hit up the Kickstarter, watch the behind the scenes trailer that goes along with it and consider donating a few ducats.. they go to a good cause.
