What you may not have known (I didn’t) is that the proceeds from said wax will go to benefit recovering cancer patient Candice Burnside; who just so happens to help run Battle Tapes with her fiance Jeremy Ferguson. So, if you were considering ganking the audio off their bandcamp page, think again! This is one of those rare occasions where you get to spend money on good music and a good cause.

Free album download courtesy of Zach from Umbrella Tree released under the moniker Servus K. Tintenfisch. It’s a mixed bag but with highlights like “Thimble Bionic”, “Emma’s Song” or the ridiculous “Gettin’ Married” – it’s well worth the download.

Back in 2009 The Only Sons released Steel Hearts for free digital download to the masses. Between that time and now they enlisted the producer-ly skills of Joey Kneiser (Glossary) to help them create the follow-up, American Stranger. The new album will be officially available Feb. 1st but you can stream the entirety of the album over on their Bandcamp page. You can join them at The Boro in Murfreesboro January 29th to celebrate the release.
