is Grade-A Fucking Rock and Roll. So good.
Eldorado – We Leave Only Ashes
Never let it be said that good cover art can’t help you discover some new music. Knowing nothing of this project except that it featured THAT GUY and was filed under #folk I was in for a treat.. especially when it became painfully obviously that the singer behind the undertaking is none other than Eef Barzelay (sure that’s obvious if you pay attention to website URL’s but that’s neither here nor there).
Typically I would never recommend a straightforward man+acoustic, earnest bit of storytelling but Barzelay’s voice is so distinctive and on point that it’s not something you can quickly shy away from.

Loving this Los Colognes
video for “Working Together”. Brilliant way to keep people watching – and legitimately entertaining too.
Inertia One – Ending Fourth EP
I can’t help it, I love instrumental hip-hop laden with samples. I’m sure a more attuned ear might say that this isn’t breaking any molds but so what? It knows what it does and it does it damn well. Your head will bob. Promise.
Kyle Andrews – “Crystal Ball”
I’m having a hard time getting into the song but any video directed by Seth Graves featuring a party is good by me.
Upbeat jangly pop with a mild melancholy swing AND some slightly spiteful relationship lyrics. Sign me up for more please. Thank you Sherbert
.
Churchyard -Â Churchyard
I assume everyone already heard this when it was posted on The Cream but, just in case you didn’t, please take some time to check it out. Ben Spinks, of Ben Spinks Supermelt, recorded it and it’s got that bedroom rock band sound locked in perfect.

Truth Clipsy – “Weary Blues Of The Fearless Few”
Great new, simple, video from Truth Clipsy off of his newest album, Forever Free. Great work.
Fun fact: Directed by Jonathan Rogers of Hotpipes!
