If you didn’t see it on the Cream already, take some time to watch this exclusive performance from Those Darlins featuring some other rather talented Nashville folks.Â
Black Cat Sylvester -Â The Bottom Line
One of two new tracks from a forthcoming BCS EP. Make sure to also give a listen to “Laffy Daffy” – hard to pick a favorite between the two.
Cavemen the Wise x RoY – “Voyager II”
Awesome new collaborative track. If anyone that gives you a weird look about loving the Nashville music scene because they assume it’s all lame country and singer songwriters.. send them this.Â
Meadownoise – The Actor (Tower Defense)
I couldn’t think of a better person to pay homage to one of last years finest releases. Matt Glassmeyer, aka Meadownoise, has released his fourth single in his ongoing Dark Digest series and it’s a great, new, take on one of my favorite tracks from the Tower Defense record, Mind the Menagerie.
*repeat repeat – Chemical Reaction
Another single serving track from the ever pleasing repeat repeat. Aside from the fact that the band continues to deliver on a consistent level, I am told that this is the first preview from their forthcoming full-length set for release in March.Â
Egosystem – Everything is Easy
I randomly stumbled upon this little gem the other day and can not stop listening to it. I’ve no idea who is involved in it, what their plans for the future are or what sort of undertaking it was to even put this together but the results speak for themselves. Electronic, instrumental, a little dark and incredibly engaging.Â

Jasmin Kaset – Quiet Machine Record Release Party
with Ponychase and Rayland Baxter

The Basement
Nashville, TN.Poster by Grand Palace
You have plans tonight. This is it.
Season of Arrows – “The Loved One”
I sample a lot of music via Bandcamp and, nine times out of ten, whenever I encounter some serious big, heavy leaning, rock songs they are completely ruined when the vocals join in. Writing a big riff is only half the battle. So, it was a nice welcome relief to hear “The Loved One” and enjoy the somewhat ethereal vocals mixed down low. It’s a nice juxtaposition to the doom and gloom tones throughout.

The wonderful sophomore record from Jasmin Kaset is now available. You can hear it on your favorite digital streaming service (see below) or obtain a gorgeous copy on coke bottle clear vinyl. Start with “The Salesman†or “Porno Mtn†or “Lionshare†to whet your whistle.
Listen on: Bandcamp, Soundcloud, Rdio, Spotify
Obviously I’m biased but I am loving this record.
Faux Ferocious – Faux Ferocious
Brand new Faux Ferocious EP and they really stepped it up with this one. Â Helluva way to start your week with some seriously blazing rock.

Awesomely dramatic new Tristen video directed by Seth Pomeroy. Lots of familiar faces in there but the real important thing to remember is that the song is awesome.Â
