It’s been far too long since I pointed out some handy tools available, for free, to any and everyone to take advantage of. You’d be a fool not to jump on these (assuming they apply to your particular tech situation).
All too often these days when looking for a link to find out more information about a band I encounter an old, abandoned, MySpace profile and not much more. This is unacceptable. If you’re a band and you’re lacking in the web presence you should immediately sign up for Flavors.me – it will allow you to quickly tie together your Bandcamp, Facebook, Twitter, Soundcloud, etc. pages all into one central depot. Exactly what a good website should do – provide routes to find out more on a band. Seriously, if you are a band without a website, get on this – it’s easy and it’s free.
If you’re one of those types of people that records music Gobbler maybe a very handy piece of software for organizing and backing up your endeavors. From what I can tell of the screenshots and descriptions it’s trying to be the iTunes style organizer of recording sessions – a task that few other applications have properly tackled. Add to that the fact that it also backs those files up into an off-site server (The Cloud™) it seems you’ve got no reason not to use it.
