Novelette is a brand new bookshop aiming to open up in the Nashville area late in 2021 or early 2022. The endeavor is spearheaded by Deezy Youngdahl and Jordan Tromblee; two names you may recognize if you’re a fan of Sad Baxter or Redheaded Stranger, respectively.
The shop aims to be carry a wide range of local authors, graphic novels and provide a safe space for folks of all different backgrounds. All told, it sounds like a very pleasant place to frequent and I, for one, would love to see the dream come alive.
On that note, the founders have started a GoFundMe campaign to help raise funds for launching the project. They’re looking for $25k and are off to a good start. That may sound like a lot of money or nowhere near enough, depending on what you think about the general expense of doing business. It sounds like an accomplishable goal to me.
Go donate to the shop fund (every little bit helps) and then follow @novellettebooksellers over on IG to keep up with developments.
