I’ll admit that the lo-fi nature of Junk Food Junkies skirts the edge of tolerance in my book. Sometimes lo-fi can be too lo-fi but when you’re dealing with ridiculous songs like “Yo Quiero Taco Bell” or “Bath Salts” it all becomes perfectly acceptable. I will say, something about Don’t Wanna Be a Hippie strikes the nail perfectly on the head. Maybe these two can get something going with Birdcloud and have a Writers In The Round night of offensive, absurd songs.
