Internet 101: Manage Your Band

wott_bandize

Recently Bandize came out of private beta and opened its doors to anyone interested in getting themselves organized. The service is aimed specifically at musicians and keeping all things band related all in one place. From the looks of it, they have done an incredibly thorough job of covering all the bases. Bands can keep track of their upcoming shows, accomodations out of town, all sorts of accounting for money coming in and going out, contacts, merchandise management, social syncing*, and all sorts of general inner-band member messaging and scheduling. You can even kick a member out of the band by banning their account!

If you’re in a band, managing a band or know a band that is oddly unorganized (i.e. most bands) I suggest at least giving Bandize a look for the 30-day free trial. After that it’s a $15/month charge but I can’t imagine the services it provides not being worth that.

* Currently does Social Syncing with MySpace and VIRB – not quite as robust as Artist Data yet but I have a feeling it’s on the way.
