Maybe this has been going on longer than I know but it seems that over the past few years there’s been a resurgence in Country Music. I don’t mean Coyote McCloud, Garth Brooks country. I mean heartfelt songs with a bit of twang and, ideally, a bit of self-deprecation and humor. Roy Ira falls right into that category. For me, Still Be My Love runs a wide enough gamut of inspiration from folk, americana, indie rock and even gospel that there’s something for everybody.
Full disclosure, this is a yk records release so I’m invested in its success but, let’s be honest, I’m invested in this because I like it and think you will too. That’s true of every band I write of here on the site. So enjoy!
