Dadcult: Meet Them Where They Are with Frank Liddell

The gals were ecstatic to sit down with seasoned music producer and an effortless conversationalist, Frank Liddell. He reminisces about his days as a stepfather and father of 2 girls and his greatest regrets. We touch on the resilience of children and how grateful he is for the closeness they share as a family.

About our guest: Houston-born, Frank Liddell got his start as a song plugger at Bluewater Music, where he helped an eclectic group of songwriters that included Jim Lauderdale, Kim Richey, Chris Knight, Sandy Knox, and Al Anderson get memorable songs recorded by most of the great artists of the ‘90s. At Decca Records, he oversaw A&R for Gary Allen, Mark Chesnutt and Lee Ann Womack and began his production career with the self-titled Chris Knight album. Establishing Carnival Music Publishing in 1999, his roster has included Bruce Robison, Brent Cobb, Adam Wright, Scooter Carusoe, Troy Jones, Marla Cannon, Natalie Hemby, Mando Saenz, Gretchen Peters, Dustin Christensen, and Hailey Whitters. As well, Frank has won multiple awards as a producer, having recorded records on Miranda Lambert, Lee Ann Womack, Chris Knight, Pistol Annies, Aubrie Sellers and David Nail. He also produced the acclaimed Not Fade Away: Remembering Buddy Holly, a Restoration, a salute to the songs of Bernie Taupin and Elton John. Currently, he is workingon projects by Adam Wright, Lee Ann Womack, Ian Noe, Johnny Dailey, and Parker McCollum. Liddell is married to Lee Ann and has two daughters, Aubrie Sellers and Anna Lise Liddell. He is an ACM board member who served as the music director for the annual Honors Awards program for several years.He is a former NARAS Nashville Chapter Governor and a former CMA board member.
