Last Friday, Feb 17th, Anchor Thieves released a new 3-song EP entitled The Nova Riches. The distinctive vocal style is as present and pleasant as usual but the music contained within these twelve minutes shows a band growing and exploring new territory. Whereas before they would deliver a 3-minute wallop of indie rock fueled energy, now they seem to be exploring slower builds, more intricate arrangements and plenty of new territory. “Afterwise†is the best example of the fusion of what you expect from the band and what they’re investigating now. Let’s hope they continue this growth!
