More:
We’re very excited to announce this week that our TV show is ready to roll! Big thanks to Brittany Conner, the Tugboat video crew and all the peeps at Music City Arts TV-9 for getting this all together and for tapping into the crazy musical energy flowing through 1604 8th Ave. South. The premier episode will be previewed this Saturday here at Grimey’s, during our weekly beer:30 hang. We’ll screen the show, which features exclusive live performance footage of The Whigs, The Selmanaires and The Spinto Band, an interview with Yo La Tengo conducted by Jonathan Marx at their recent show at The Belcourt and few other nice thangs. Please join us for this auspicious occasion and we’ll put a frosty malt beverage in your hand for your trouble. Here’s the rundown:

Looks like that new album from The Features, Some Kind of Salvation, is available a whole lot sooner than anyone expected, at least digitally. You can stream the entire thing over at LaLa or download it from Amazon.
Many thanks to Out The Other for the heads up.

part of Big Bad Nashville – a two day event celebrating the harder side of Nashville
Theory 8 just announced that they’ll be releasing a limited edition 7″ from Caitlin Rose on July 22nd. The wax features 4 tracks (a bit odd for a 7″) and will come with a digital download voucher so even if you don’t have a record player, you can still hear it.
Apparently the “single” features one track from her forthcoming album, two tracks from her current EP redone with a full band, and one b-side; ‘Gorilla Man Pt. 2.’
Probably safe to assume this will be available at Grimey’s and/or the Theory 8 site.
