Nashville’s Official Election Celebration
Sponsored by Barack Obama for President and the Tennessee Democratic Party

There will be large screens set up in both rooms to view the results, a DJ in Mercy lounge, and appearances from local politicians and other public figures in both rooms. The event is free, 18+, open to the public, catered and begins at 7 PM with doors opening at 6 PM. We’re crossing our fingers, but if and when the balloons drop, you’ll want to be among friends!

David Berman and the Atypical Venue

According to this article Nashville’s own David Berman, aka Silver Jews, will be playing at Cumberland Caverns in McMinville, TN for a midnight broadcast of WSM’s Bluegrass Underground. The stage setup makes it look like a surreal experience, no matter what artist is playing there. Berman is scheduled for a January 31st performance.. plenty of time to get your spelunking gear together.

Glossary Updates
Direct from the Glossary source:
Just wanted to let everybody know what Glossary has coming up for the rest of 08′. As you probably know by now, we’ve been laying low the last two months. Todd’s been out on The Revival Tour and Joey has been writing songs for the new record. We’re really excited about the way things are coming together and can’t wait to get them recorded. The new record will be called “Feral Fire” and we hope to have it come out in the early part of the new year. We’re heading down to Denton Texas on January 12th to record at the Echo Lab with Matt Pence.
So, there you have it. Feral Fire being recorded in early January and possibly a quick release turnaround in the first quarter of 2009. If it’s even half as good as that last record, we’re all in for a treat.
