Protomen have unveiled the first official track from the second long-player Act II. The album itself will be released September 8th with a massive blow-up release show at Mercy Lounge on Sept. 25th where they plan to play both albums back to back with a full choir and orchestra. Marking the calendar sounds like a good idea but you should absolutely take the time now to listen to “Light Up The Night” right here.
New Nashville act Blue Cadet 3 have released their debut self-titled EP that can be ordered here or digitally downloaded here. The Deli has posted a video from said EP for the track “Taxidermic Heartbreak Glory” which should be watched forthwith.
Feral Fire, the next full-length from Glossary will be released in early 2010. It’s a long way off but given how great The Better Angels of Our Nature is I can only assume it will be worth every second.

I never thought I’d see the day but WRVU has given their site a complete facelift. Aside from the new look there’s also a new streaming webcam and forthcoming regular blog updates. You still need RealPlayer (or possibly VLC) to listen to the audio but at least you’ll be doing it while viewing a grand new site.

Is it safe to say that De Novo Dahl are done? I’ve not heard from their camp in some time and Joel J. Dahl is embarking out with his new project so I’m going to assume it’s done? At least for now..
But allow me to focus for a moment. The point here is that it’s likely been some time since you’ve gotten a quality dose of the manic De Novo Dahl vibe. Fortunately The Ardent Sessions is here to fill that void. They’ve just unveiled their latest session featuring a full 45+ minute show from the group. There’s audio, video and some nice photos from the gig; so go check it out.
If you haven’t heard already, The Features recorded a Lake Fever Session and it will be debuting next Monday. Having been a fan of this band for roughly twelve years it goes without saying that I am excited. Next Monday all fanboy gushing will be divulged but until then, enjoy the teaser.
Joe Baine Colvert has returned from his honeymoon (congrats!) and gotten back on the We Own This Town Radio onslaught. Check the playlist below and feel free to send in new music to get played.
