Download Friday
They celebrated the release on Tuesday at Grimeys but if you missed it you still have the chance to hear the new Bows and Arrows EP, The Escape of the Polkadotopotamus, for free! You can go download it right now, for free.
Newcomers Heartbeater have released a new EP in both a limited-edition hand-made physical format or a free digital download. Personally, I’m endorsing “See You Around” as best introductory track. It’s straight-ahead rock; much appreciated.

Carter Administration Lake Fever Session
One thing that I’ve always enjoyed about The Carter Administration is that whenever they play you get a sense that they don’t really care if you’re there or not. That’s not to say that they don’t appreciate your attendance or attention but they are having a great time just playing music together, the fact that there’s an audience is just a bonus. Their Lake Fever Session is much the same (particularly with all the great banter); you can tell they are just enjoying themselves. This is an attribute that more bands need to take note of as it makes the whole experience better for everyone. Oh yea, and they craft a damn fine pop-rock song too.
