If you aren’t seeing a brand new site design right now, please refresh that browser cache and check out the new surroundings. There’s still a bunch of cross-browser compatibility testing to do (sorry IE users if this site looks awful now) but I felt it was high time that this place get a mild facelift. Everyone that I’ve talked to about this site always mentions that the show listings are the main reason they come here; so in respect of that notion I’ve tried to clean that sidebar, make it easier to read and even make it more informative.
Long story short, we’ve redesigned and I hope you like it. I’ll be adding more features and goodies as the weeks go on but this was a major step one.
The End – 9pm
The Nashville Music Awards are not something I am entirely familiar with but I do know that they have two days left for voting. There are several nominees worthy of recognition – The Features, Steve Wariner, Raconteurs – that make the 5 minute process of casting your ballot worth the possible dividends. That being said, go vote!
Beth Cameron, better known as Eliza the Arrow, appears in a new promotional video for the new Gibson SG Zoot Suit guitar.

It may be superficial but there’s a prideful moment for a band when they can say they’re playing CMJ. It’s a huge, internationally recognized, festival and despite competition from loads of other events (SXSW namely) it still seems to carry a considerable amount of clout. That being said, it’s nice to see some Nashville representation on the list of accepted bands. Most of them are Infinity Cat related in some way so whatever bad you may have to say about Be Your Own Pet, you can also thank them for raising Nashville a little farther out of the stereotyped dredge of country music.
According to some SonicBids press releases, some talking around town and my own browsing here is a short list of Nashville bands playing sometime in the Oct 20 – 24th of CMJ.. feel free to let us know anyone overlooked.
