Like any city, Nashville has no shortage of photographers. Fortunately, other cities don’t have Steve Cross; our local rock documentarian that somehow manages to be everywhere.. all the time. To show your appreciation for the mans hard work you should swing by his photo exhibit opening up at the Vanderbilt Sarratt Student Center. Details on the Nov 4th opening can be found here. In the meantime, you can check his website and get an idea of what goodness will be in store for the exhibit.

Milktooth celebrate Halloween in Santa Ana

Tomorrow night at The End Milktooth will be celebrating the release of their new limited edition 7″ – Halloween in Santa Ana. The show is $5 but for $8 you get a copy of the vinyl, as well as a download redemption card to obtain digital versions of the songs and a bonus cover song of the band doing David Bowie’s “Cat People.”

The band will be joined by The Champion and His Burning Flame, The Hollywood Ten and Catch the Rabbit. Ghost costumes encouraged!

For awhile there I thought Nashville might be experiencing a drought of great new music. The podcasts were getting tougher to put together and I was worried the well may have run dry. Sometimes it feels good to be so wrong. This edition of the podcast has such a nice wide variety of songs that it’s hard to believe I was ever worried! From the debut of a brand new Glossary track from their forthcoming Feral Fire record to brand new rock goodness from Eureka Gold to worthwhile experimental electronic sounds courtesy of Square People there is a little something for everybody. Clocking in just under thirty minutes it’s a solid listen from top to bottom and I suggest you listen to it post-haste.
