Lake Fever Sessions: The Black Hollies

While it’s absolutely great when Lake Fever Sessions get to record some music from an established national act or a well loved local act, the most appealing sessions are the ones from those national acts that will actually benefit from the exposure and, selfishly, shed some new music on my ears. Such is the case with the latest session from The Black Hollies. I’ve heard the name a dozen times, seen that they’ve played shows around town but never fully dug into seeing them. No more! The time to partake is now and the time to enjoy is immediate. Thank you Lake Fever Sessions.

Sometimes its best to start off the year with a bit of an eclectic mixture of styles; which I’ve hopefully done properly here with Volume 31. This podcast clocks in just under 30 minutes but includes some electronic influenced indie pop songs, some rawkus lo-fi goods and some more withdrawn acoustic based diddies – all of which are very worthy of investigating more than just the one track presented here.
