If you weren’t aware, Nashville’s very own Caitlin Rose (Holly House member, Theory 8 mainstay) has released her first full-length album, Own Side Now, over in the UK on Names Records. It is, to say the least, being very well received. Reviews from NME, Drowned in Sound and The Sun all rightfully embrace it wholeheartedly. It is great to see one of our own get such praise overseas. The only downside is it looks like we’ll have to wait until 2011 for a domestic release.

Looks like music blog Future Sounds got their hands on “Hammer Down” – a track from the forthcoming And The Relatives full-length record. Details are still forthcoming on when exactly that will be released but it’s interesting to hear the new sound the band has cultivated.. go listen.
