Get your Christmas music on courtesy of Nashville artists.. here’s just a small sampling:
Trey Deuce Club member Good Americans just recently released their Christmas Single. It’s quite low key but it’s often best to err on the side of quiet and pleasant than to go all out and end up with something less than ideal.
A six-song EP featuring Christmas classics, male-female vocal trade offs and just the right balance of energetic style and introspective musings courtesy of The Haunting Party. It came out last Christmas but, hey, timeless music is timeless music – go grab it for free.
Keegan DeWitt offered up a Christmas Eve EP last year – featuring collaborations with Caitlin Rose and Madi Diaz – that still holds up. It’s not quite as pop/rock/upbeat as his offerings from the Nothing Shows EP but it’s perfectly appropriate for sitting around a fire and enjoying a night with friends.
Everyone’s favorite locals The Features recorded an original Xmas tune way back in 2004 entitled “Father Christmas.” You can find it on iTunes.. or just out and about on the web. It is, as one would expect, quality.

I am happy to present the fortieth edition of the We Own This Town podcast and, consequently, the Best of 2010 yearly summary release. Putting together any Best Of list is often an insurmountable task but when paired with the avalanche of good music coming out of a relatively small area.. well, it becomes markedly more difficult. With that in mind, there are a few ground rules to make it easier:
But enough with the jibber jabber – my rationalization is a moot point now. Please download the podcast, enjoy and let me know in the comments what feels like a egregious error in omission.
