There’s really no better writeup for these ambient pieces of work than straight from the creators mouth:

…two new pieces which I wrote for resting parents and their babies. Patterns in this music are based on Fibonacci and prime number sequences and organized in ways I believe very young minds can follow.

So if you’re a resting parent, a baby or a young mind – you’re in for a treat. If not, I’m fairly confident that you’ll get some pleasure out of this as well.

Two tracks from the forthcoming second album from the ever changing Non-Commissioned Officers. It’s a bit of a departure from the Make-Out with Violence soundtrack that they introduced themselves with but maybe this is actually a better reflection of what the band is going for musically as an independent unit and not as a fundraising conduit for a film. Regardless, I’m quite curious to hear what the remainder of the album has in store.

Record release show March 11th at Mercy Lounge. Full album available digitally March 14th.

Hanzelle have been featured on the WOTT podcast previously but it hasn’t been until very recently that their EP has been available for procurement with such ease. You can head over to their official site and grab it now with just a few quick clicks. These guys have always managed to find an interesting balance between pop melodies, Pink Floyd style zoning out, some jazzy elements and just the tiniest twinge of rock energy all blended together.

Nahnee Bori is the solo endeavor of Cody Uhler; mostly known for his work in Kindercastle. However, unlike the pop stylings of that particular project, Lotic Prattle goes way further out into experimental territory (and I mean way out). It’s not an easy record to explain as you’d end up using phrases like “audible journey” or “spacey minimalistic zone outs” and that doesn’t do anything justice as it’s all contextual. Included here is one of the tracks that straddles the line between the somewhat expected pop stylings (“Green Grass”) and the tracks that make you question if your computer is broken (“Catch”).
