When in need of a dose of sugar-y load of power pop, Bravo Max seems like a good outlet to turn to. The B-side, “Used to be a Shoe Queen”, is a much more subdued number but it’s an appropriate come down from the energy of the A-side.

Congratulations to The Protomen on the successful funding of their Kickstarter campaign to create a documentary about the band. If ever there were a group of musicians that deserve to have a film made about their inner workings, it is the Protomen. I’m going to go ahead and get my hopes up that they never break character and speak exclusively about ‘Restoring Hope’, ‘Rescuing Dr. Light’ or ‘Fighting Wood Man’ even when they’re really talking about getting gas for the van, stopping at Wal-Mart for face paint or show load-in times.

While they’ve more than doubled their requested amount already you can still donate to the cause, get some sweet kickbacks and help to improve the film by allowing them access to additional resources.
