As if you didn’t know, tomorrow is Record Store Day, the annual celebration of brick-and-mortar stores fighting the good fight for music lovers everywhere. A reminder, if you will, that enjoying music goes well beyond downloading digital files. There will be events at all-day at Grimeys, The Groove, Third Man Records and a bunch of stuff that evening as well. There are a ton of limited edition releases that you can wait in hysterically long lines for – including an exclusive 7″ from locals The Clutters.
There are much more in-depth previews of tomorrows activities from The Cream and Nashville’s Dead so, please, refer to them for your best insight.
War Memorial – 7pm
$27.50
A special online presale will run from 10 a.m. on January 19 to midnight on January 20, using the password “MOIST.” The show is all ages.

What’s the minimum length for an EP? Do two songs coming in at around 5 minutes count? Sure, why not! When the songs are enjoyable as the two on the i am sabot digital release, who cares what the textbook definition is? Well worth a stream or two and, for my taste, worth the download. This one will sound great as you drive around the intense summer heat that’s on the way.

I was hesitant to post this because that cover art really weirds me out but the instrumental noodlings of Country Music (recorded in the country, not in the Style Of) were certainly worthy of sharing. Expect lots of post-rock, noise, quiet-loud influences going on. Oh, and you can watch performances of said songs being recorded live over here.
