I’ll be honest, I don’t know much about By Lightning. What I have been able to gleam from various Internet perusings reveals that the band is comprised of lots of heavy hitting locals – members of De Novo Dahl, Hands Down Eugene and others. Really all you need to do is watch this video and you will 1) know who is in the band and 2) know what kind of unthrottled energy to expect. Sand Down the Edges will be available August 11th – and they’ll be celebrating the release with a show at The Basement.

First JEFF/Infinity Cat sign a deal with Warner Bros and now PUJOL has announced he has signed to Saddle Creek Records. The full details of the album are still forthcoming but, in the meantime, he’s going out with Ted Leo and the Pharmacists.

Good things happening for Nashville Rock Bands is certainly a trend I hope to see continue.
