A free night of food, drink, live music, and recording at Lij Shaw’s Toy Box Studio! Things get going at 7pm with the hep gypsy jazz indie rock of The Flea Marketeers, followed by some schmoozing, followed by a full-band set from Nashville’s premier cassette-pop orchestra, Quichenight.
Bring friends and libations! We’ll bring the quiche and the rock!

The Berklee College of Music recently released their Music Business Handbook Vol. 2, brimming with essays regarding Unpaid Royalties, Fan-Funding, Copyright Law, embracing nostalgic sounds and a load more. It’s downloadable here if you’re curious to read such a thing. Typically, I’d say that your standard music based liberal arts professor wouldn’t have a real clue on the state of the music industry and what it takes to be a band these days but these Berklee professors have some great insight. I’m not sure a lot of it applies to a new, just-starting, band but it’s still good to keep abreast of the state of things as a whole.
