If you were to ask me if I would like to hear a band described as “a soul-jazz spirit walk transmogrified into a space funk time warp” I would likely politely pass on the opportunity. However, that’s verbatim how The Perfect Hours describe their undertaking and I can’t help but enjoy the offerings.

I’d love to say this is a relevant Halloween offering – just to keep the blog timely – but it’s really more of an instrumental, atmospheric journey. The more successful tracks, to me, are those that tend to swing towards the darker vibe. Like the unfortunately named “Every Possible Reality.” There’s a nice range of styles throughout to keep your attention.. I’d recommend giving it a go.
