Fortunately, for me, I’ve got a lazy enough posting schedule around these parts where three days of no new content really doesn’t seem that out of the ordinary. Unfortunately, for you, there’s no gamble involved this time because I am definitely not going to be posting until next Monday at the earliest. While down in Austin, TX I believe I will partake in a few Nashville bands but mostly just sit around, drink some beer and hang out with friends. And likely tweet when something memorable happens (in regards to local music).

Long story short, WOTT is closed until Monday. Go listen to that Mystery Twins song one more time for good measure.

Ah, the ole random Bandcamp browsing; it always yield some interesting results! Truth be told, I know next to nothing of Echo Group except that they have this Challtalk Record Collection EP, a split with Mom & Dad and will be playing Tour de Fun this year. Beyond that, I know I like what I hear. There’s plenty of quality influences peeking their way through with the jangly guitars, the occasional upbeat horn section and sometimes sneering croon of the lead vocals. But enough with the excessive adjective posturing, just go listen to it and add them to your list of bands to keep an eye out for.
