While I’d love to hear some more original songs from Denney & The Jets I’m rather pleased to put these two cover songs into regular rotation. The Chuck Berry tune features Jessi Darlin, so there’s some additional quality Nashville cross pollination going on.

This was posted back at the end of April but it just came on to my radar. Bows & Arrows have released a decent amount of covers in their time as a band from the likes of The Zombies, The Beach Boys, The Rolling Stones and, now, The Everly Brothers. Good on them!

Remember being told about the Makeup and Vanity Set soundtrack to the short film 88:88? Well, you can now hear the entire thing over on Soundcloud with the ability to purchase / procure the whole thing on the 31st. Oh, and Telefuture will be putting the soundtrack out on VHS. Yea, you thought all those cassette tape releases were being progressively retro but this takes the cake. It’s ridiculous in the best kind of way.
