POLY

Poly is a new band featuring Dan Sommers (ex-Hot Pipes), Larissa Maestro and Eleonore Denig. They’re releasing a new 3-song 7″ and performing at Grimey’s. The Nashville Scene says Larissa has a voice like “a damn Disney princess” and describes Poly thusly, “[they] play sweetly quirky little ragtime-, classical-, showtune- and pop-inspired numbers on a wide assortment of instruments – cello, kazoos, ukulele and melodica among them.” We’re excited to check them out and hope you will join us to help celebrate the release of their new record.

Music City Shakedown

I realize I am late to the party on this one but please take whatever you’re currently doing, gently set it down and take a moment to check out Music City Shake Down, a community access show featuring local Nashville area bands lip sync performing to their own songs and combined with a heaping amount of ridiculousness. The playlist embedded above has performances from Calicocat, Thunder Brother, Fancytramp, Thelma and The Sleaze and Scale Model.
