Live on the Green – Public Square Park – 7pm
Imogene + Willie just posted a lengthy history of their Supper + Song series – how it began, why it was important to them, how they viewed it as an improvement to the 12 South neighborhood and, ultimately, why it’s now been shut down. It’s a sad tale and you can tell from the writeup that it was not an easy decision. It’s also a sad day for Nashville, as the series was a quality one and it’s never good to lose something like that. Maybe, moving forward, they’ll find a way to sponsor shows elsewhere, where a noise ordinance isn’t an issue.

Preview on Spotify
The full-length Turbo Fruits record Butter doesn’t officially hit stores until next Tues, Sept. 11th, but you can preview the entire record on Spotify right now. You should also take note that their record release party is this Friday, Sept. 7th, at Exit/In. They will have limited edition colored copies of the vinyl and will likely melt your face off with a legit rock and roll show. These guys are doing things right and I, for one, plan on supporting it fully.
