What Is Open House?

Just a heads up; when you see Open House listed in the calendar sidebar (or anywhere in Nashville event listings) they’re likely referring to a Corporate Juggernaut promoted stand-up comedy open mic night, not an open tour of the facilities. If Open Mic Nights sound like a terrifying experience you should know that Nashville has a surprising number of great comics. Will you be experiencing side-splitting laughter the entire time? Probably not. Will you legitimately laugh, heartily, more than once? Definitely.

So, keep your eyes peeled for Open House events, Corporate Juggernaut endorsements and more legitimate comedy taking place in Nashville.

Spencer Cullum Jr. & Jeremy Fetzer Present: Steelism

I’ll be honest, I stumbled across this set on Theory 8’s Soundcloud and have been piecing together the details from across the web. The project is courtesy of Spencer Cullum, Jr and Jeremy Fetzer – two talented musicians that you’ve undoubtedly seen in any number of bands around town. There are a few videos, an empty Bandcamp and a Facebook page.. of course. I don’t see the actual album Spotify, Rdio or Amazon; so I’m just taking a wild stab in the dark that obtaining it online is not really a possibility beyond that Soundcloud set. A damn shame because it’s an enjoyable listen.
