While he may not reside in Nashville anymore, Count Bass D was a substantial part of the Murfreesboro / Spongebath Records saga of the late 90’s. So, it’s worthy of note that he has released a short documentary film entitled Full Count that documents his career after his debut on Sony. It doesn’t mention much about his days in Mufreesboro but it does cover the struggles of being a musician compelled / haunted by their need to create – a conflict that many creative types can empathize with. Go watch the trailer and then snag the full film for just $5.

Patrick Baker – “Spooky”
Nu-80’s wunderkind Patrick Baker has a new album in the works and also posted up demos and the first official single (a collaboration with Televisor). All that’s well and good but he also released a phenomenal Halloween track Spooky. Stylistically it fits right in with loads of your favorite childhood movies (assuming you’re my age and that our childhoods occurred at roughly the same time) – Ghostbusters, Gremlins, etc. You can easily swing your arms side to side like a dancing zombie while listening to it so it’s got to be good.
