After immersing myself in that Partytown Hospital record I decided to browse around Bandcamp and find some other eclectic Nashville Christmas music. In doing so, I unearthed the best Christmas present I could possibly bestow to the Nashville music scene – David Argyle Thacker’s The Mouth Trumpet Christmas Album. It is exactly what you’d think it is and it delivers big time.

The Partytown Hospital series of Christmas songs is always a welcome addition to the holiday season. It’s my favorite musical endurance challenge this time of year. While it’s not always easy to get through the sounds of two people wasting their time in the studio, it is often strangely rewarding. At the very least, read the song titles and have a nice chuckle.
