Did you know that Lance Conzett and Sean Maloney have compiled (and continue to add to) a massive Spotify playlist of Nashville bands? You can check it out here. I recommend subscribing and then letting the shuffle playback fill your days. Great resource.

Tristen is looking to finish up her sophomore album, C A V E S, and has turned to Kickstarter to take pre-orders for the album, special edition version and even personal hangtime if you so desire. It’s not a bad way to run awareness of an already anticipated album. She’s made great progress at the time of this posting but still has a good way to go. Chip in!

While I assume you’ve already read about this on The Cream, it certainly bears repeating. Ryan Scott Burleson has recently put out a three song EP of some rather stellar shoegaze-y / semi-post-rock / ambient tunes. It’s 15 minutes of floating adrift on the sea – apt cover art I’d say. And as a bonus, for each sale of the record $3 goes to Room In the Inn, a Nashville homeless shelter.

LINEAR DOWNFALL

Linear Downfall are a psychedelic band based here in Nashville. The power trio of Charlee Cook on bass, synth and vocals, Chance Cook on guitar, effects programming and synth and Will Hicks on drums have grabbed the attention of none other than The Flaming Lips’ Wayne Coyne, who has collaborated with them on some recent projects including the Lips-curated tribute to “In The Court Of The Crimson King.” Linear Downfall have just released their debut LP, out today, called “Fragmental Hippocampus.”
