I received a message from Bryan Dixon asking to check out his EP, Never Be Hopeless, as he had poured his heart and soul into the creation of the three songs. It’s hard to turn down that kind of enthusiasm!Â
After diving in it’s definitely a little outside what you normally hear on WOTT but it’s got a strong pop sensibility and I can see it getting the crowds hopping!
The monthly track experiment continues from V to Z (Joshua Moore) with this sometimes creepy instrumental piece.Â

I’ll be real, at first listen I thought this new track from Save/Quit may not be for me but there’s a cool, reserved, sweet sadness to it that builds over time. Sit with it and let it grow on it, as I’m sure it will.
and the late Dave Cloud it’s an excellent showcase of the ridiculous humor and absurd personalities the two of them could have.

After a weekend of sixty’s girl group doo-wop goodness and orchestrated love songs, it’s good to temper your musical intake with something a bit more brutal. Greywoods is that brutality. Clocking in at 7 minutes, your palette will certainly be reset from any lovey dovey feelings you may have been having.
You may recall a prior installation of this live performance fused with beautiful scenery from Meadownoise – this video continues the tradition. It’s a nice way to hear the songs in a new form and some pleasant visuals to boot.
The fine folks at 80JD put together this gorgeous video for a track off of Jasmin Kaset’s latest, Quiet Machine. The footage is culled from a variety of museums, zoos and aquariums. If you’re paying attention, you can see that the imagery is hinting at the cycle of life, a well played and subtle arc. Oh, and it’s a wonderful song if I do say so.
I don’t know very much about Creature Comfort or their debut album, Fox Tales, but I do know that they put together a helluva video for “All My Friends.” It’s not often you see a video shot this beautifully and that manages to tell a few tales of mysterious love, time shifting, nude cult rituals and medieval style forest explorations without being weird.
