It’s been a few years since a proper release from Milktooth, so it’s nice to hear they’ve got a new album in the works. Â
Did you know Birdcloud was on Doug Benson’s show last night? Well, they were and it was a little bit contentious and a whole lot entertaining. Scrub through to see them perform a perfect version of “Saving Myself for Jesusâ€
It’s only two tracks but this is an excellent bit of dreampop.Â
The fifth release from Magic In Threes has them continuing to move away from being a purely instrumental band but fully embracing their soulful and R&B roots with the addition of guest singers like DeRobert  and Tujarzz. It’s just two songs but it’s a smooth way to start your day.
Describing your album as “The less you pay attention to while listening, the more potential you’ve to like it. “ is a tough sell but I personally like to think it’s a misdirect; a tactic to get you to immerse yourself without judging too hard from the onset.Â
Also worthy of note, the cover art is almost exactly the same as the recently discovered Real Yawny EP. Same artists or is there a rabbit hole of clues to unearth here?
Really enjoyed this Alex Karpovsky / Teddy Blanks short film, largely because of the music provided by Natalie Prass. Oh, and she acts in it too… bonus!
I admit I am not a regular reader of Executive Nashville but I’m rather enjoying this piece on Secret Nashville and hope they continue featuring some of the great lost gems of our city and its rich history.
