Anchor Thieves – “Isn’t Anything”

Very happy to debut the official video for “Isn’t Anything”, a personal favorite track from Anchor Thieves latest full-length, Monolith. The video compiles a series of timelapse videos depicting a day-in-the-life of the band; coffee, drive, work, wait for night, drive, play rock music.  It may not sound like much of anything but I think that’s exactly the point.

It’s a great song from a extremely solid album. Let this be your entry point into hearing the whole thing on a regular basis.

Volume 77

Hot on the heels of the last one! Finally catching up with all the great music that’s been coming out recently. This one is heavy on the Rock. All kinds of rock! Psych Rock! Big Riff Rock! Indie Rock! Oh, and a little bit of balance with the swirly goodness of CASA and glitchy weirdness of Real Yawny.

Enjoy this goodness from Penicillin Baby, Adia Victoria, VampTones, Meter, The By Gods, Anchor Thieves, Tower Defense, Happy Little Trees, Rales, CASA and Real Yawny.

Volume 77

I hope you like the rock music because this one is bubbling over with it. All sorts of rock music! Psychedelic rock! Surf rock! 90’s Rock! Thick Riff Rock! Rock Grown From Emo Roots! Oh, and a bit of diversity with the mesmerizing looping of CASA and the glitchy fun of Real Yawny.

  1. Penicillin Baby – Working Man
  2. Adia Victoria – Dead Eyes
  3. VampTones – Black Shadow
  4. Meter – All Of Trump-Kind
  5. The By Gods – Phone Calls
  6. Anchor Thieves – Mermice
  7. Tower Defense – Glyphs
  8. Happy Little Trees – My Rings Show My Age
  9. Rales – Write Off
  10. CASA – Fogpuncher
  11. Real Yawny – Oh

Husband Stitch – Self-Titled

Two things of note from the debut Husband Stitch EP:
1) I did not know the term “husband stitch” prior to encountering this band name and have plenty of weird feels about it.
2) These six songs are a bombastic onslaught of guitar and energy.

Magic in Threes – V

The fifth release from Magic In Threes has them continuing to move away from being a purely instrumental band but fully embracing their soulful and R&B roots with the addition of guest singers like DeRobert  and Tujarzz. It’s just two songs but it’s a smooth way to start your day.

MPGexperts – Fucking Donald to Death

Describing your album as “The less you pay attention to while listening, the more potential you’ve to like it. “ is a tough sell but I personally like to think it’s a misdirect; a tactic to get you to immerse yourself without judging too hard from the onset.

Also worthy of note, the cover art is almost exactly the same as the recently discovered Real Yawny EP. Same artists or is there a rabbit hole of clues to unearth here?
