The second release from Transmission Control features new songs from Financier and Sugar Sk*-*lls – a worthwhile pairing of artists. Both tracks are atmospheric electronic undertakings that conjure dark, quiet places.

Third Man to release Coupler Blue Room Session
Head over to the Third Man site to pre-order the first release from their new Blue Room Sessions series, featuring Coupler. In their own words, it is “a very special piece exploring the nether-regions where the organic collides with the electronic. “ You can preview the recording here.
Anchor Thieves – “Isn’t Anythingâ€
Very happy to debut the official video for “Isn’t Anythingâ€, a personal favorite track from Anchor Thieves latest full-length, Monolith. The video compiles a series of timelapse videos depicting a day-in-the-life of the band; coffee, drive, work, wait for night, drive, play rock music.  It may not sound like much of anything but I think that’s exactly the point.Â
It’s a great song from a extremely solid album. Let this be your entry point into hearing the whole thing on a regular basis.

Hot on the heels of the last one! Finally catching up with all the great music that’s been coming out recently. This one is heavy on the Rock. All kinds of rock! Psych Rock! Big Riff Rock! Indie Rock! Oh, and a little bit of balance with the swirly goodness of CASA and glitchy weirdness of Real Yawny.
Enjoy this goodness from Penicillin Baby, Adia Victoria, VampTones, Meter, The By Gods, Anchor Thieves, Tower Defense, Happy Little Trees, Rales, CASA and Real Yawny.

I hope you like the rock music because this one is bubbling over with it. All sorts of rock music! Psychedelic rock! Surf rock! 90’s Rock! Thick Riff Rock! Rock Grown From Emo Roots! Oh, and a bit of diversity with the mesmerizing looping of CASA and the glitchy fun of Real Yawny.

Tower Defense “Glyphsâ€
Great new video from Tower Defense for “Glyphs†– off of their Stay Inside EP. It’s a lyric video with a twist. That twist is the potentially incoherent babblings of a band gone mad. Or maybe just some hilarious filler text. You decide.
Husband Stitch – Self-Titled
Two things of note from the debut Husband Stitch EP:
1) I did not know the term “husband stitch†prior to encountering this band name and have plenty of weird feels about it.
2) These six songs are a bombastic onslaught of guitar and energy.Â
The By Gods “Cactus†(Pixies)
Take a moment out of your busy day to listen to The By Gods cover The Pixies “Cactus†(from Surfer Rosa). I won’t lie, I’d enjoy an entire set of Pixies covers from these guys.
Also, go listen to their new EP – Phone Calls.
Milktooth “Voicesâ€
It’s been a few years since a proper release from Milktooth, so it’s nice to hear they’ve got a new album in the works. Â
Getting Doug with High – featuring Birdcloud
Did you know Birdcloud was on Doug Benson’s show last night? Well, they were and it was a little bit contentious and a whole lot entertaining. Scrub through to see them perform a perfect version of “Saving Myself for Jesusâ€
Best Friend – Flowers//Always Is
It’s only two tracks but this is an excellent bit of dreampop.Â
Magic in Threes – V
The fifth release from Magic In Threes has them continuing to move away from being a purely instrumental band but fully embracing their soulful and R&B roots with the addition of guest singers like DeRobert  and Tujarzz. It’s just two songs but it’s a smooth way to start your day.
