Sundaes – Sundaes EP

I have a lot of questions about this EP artwork. Is this the first bite of the first sundae during the photoshoot? Has he run through five previous parfaits and just didn’t quite get the right image? What flavor is it? Is that chocolate icing or some other unknown flavor? Is his eyeliner running due to a healthy cry? Or is he allergic to an ingredient in the sundae and it’s causing him to break out? Is this the end of the line for our cover art King? What is the ultimate fate of this supposed crooner?!

Also, four songs of laid back pop songs with a nice languid mood to them.

Ultimate Funny – EXCLUSIVE David Lynch Twin Peaks Season 3 Interview

I try to keep things focused on unheard and new music but, occasionally, there’s more greatness coming from other talented folks in the Nashville area that should be shared.

Such is the case with the latest from Seth Pomeroy’s Ultimate Funny – a David Lynch interview that nails the Lynch vibe so accurately it almost doesn’t matter if it’s funny or not. Fortunately, it is.

R. Stevie Moorechestra – RODAN

Keeping up with the creative output of R. Stevie Moore is a near impossible task but occasionally you should tip your toe back in the cool, overflowing, pools and see what he’s putting out there. For instance, he just recently released RODAN, a fifteen track instrumental compilation of keyboard loops and beats. The vibe isn’t exactly that of a roaring Japanese Kaiju beast but that dichotomy is exactly the kind of mystery that Moore keeps close to his chest.

Volume 87

WOTT 86

I’ve been living in New York for the past four years but have managed to keep up with the Nashville music scene during that time and continued to churn out these podcasts. I’ve never felt a period of time where I wasn’t impressed by the volume and diversity of great music the city has to offer. I look forward to many more editions of continued greatness, such as this one.

Jessi Zazu + Kathy Wariner, Undefeated

As you are likely aware, Jessi Zazu of Those Darlins has been undergoing some pretty intense cancer treatment the past few months. If you haven’t been following her journey over on Instagram, please go catch up at your earliest convenience. Her Ain’t Afraid campaign (and shirts) are just the tip of how inspiring and strong she has been through the ordeal.

On June 17th she’ll have an art show open over at the Julia Martin Gallery featuring works she created herself and with her mother, Kathy Wariner. Proceeds from the event will go towards her mounting medical bills and serve as a meeting place for others who have faced similar battles.

Decoral OST

Imagine yourself on the beach. You find a boombox, a rubber duck, a delightful couch and a toilet. You take them. You venture inside your cabin. You place them inside your empty room. You venture out again to find a CRT television. Rinse and repeat. Also, you’re a bear.

That’s indie game Decoral. Is it pointless? Maybe. Regardless, it’s got an Original Soundtrack from Drew Swisher that is maybe the highlight of the experience. It’s akin to elevator music but in that pleasant way, where you’re walking on the beach and find a toilet.
