tickets for this one were a little bit higher than i expected. i purchased a pair online through ticketmaster for around $68 total for both, after all the charges and everything. just thought i’d give you a heads up so you wouldn’t be all “son of a bitch!” like i was.
also, what can you tell me about this venue? i’ve never been there.
I saw a performance of Hamlet there once. It was one of those cutting edge productions. They incorporated Alice in Chains and Nine Inch Nails songs. It was tough.
Considering they were listed 4th on Day 2 of Coachella, I’m not surprised to hear they’re charging that much. I doubt it’ll be worth it, but who knows?
Very few shows are “worth” more than $10-15, in my opinion. I paid $40 to see the Pixies, I think, and about that much to see Pink Floyd, but for the YYY’s? $15, maybe $20, tops. That is, if I liked that shitty band. *grumble, grumble*
I saw them a few years ago at the southgate house… Def one of the best shows i have ever seen, and it was only $12… I thought that was pretty cheap back then…
Regardless of all the naysaying, I’m excited about this show. I look at it as an equal exchange. You can easily spend $34 in one week of going to local shows (by bands you have already seen a hundred times) and buying overpriced alcohol. $34 for one good show every now and then is not too much to pay.
