It’s been a few years since You Are A Hologram have released any of their electronic infused indie rock songs but they’ve come back strong. For me, there’s a late 90’s college rock nostalgia to their style – energetic rock songs with keyboard flourishes? Yes please.
If you lived in Murfreesboro in the early 2000’s you may recall hearing the name Wayne Mosh; the alter-ego of Jason Moore, frontman for The Katies. Well, he’s back with a new EP that’s a perfect exercise in loose and fun-for-the-sake-of-fun.Â

Call it a side project, call it a goof, or just call it surprisingly entertaining. All seem to be true of this duo of hip-hop-esque tracks from Calicocat released as Sewer Rat. I won’t lie, I’d enjoy more of this.

If you have a movie with a reference to the King of Hell in the title there is probably no better choice to make your soundtrack than Ascent of Everest. It’s a, understandably, moody undertaking and it will make you want to see the film. Perfect execution!
Some might argue that this is just noise but that’s exactly the point. There’s something oddly enjoyable about a complete audible onslaught. While I have a hard time actually listening to this sort of thing, I appreciate that it exists and it’s coming out of Nashville.Â
